There will be two prizes given out; one will go to the church group that brings in the most items, and the other will go to the individual that brings in the most items. The value of the items donated will be taken into consideration when deciding winners of the competition.

And lastly, a minivan. I know this is probably not a request that will fit into this scenario but it truly is a need so I am going to mention it anyways. Any minivan without mechanical issue with low miles on it would truly be the biggest blessing. We don’t have a budget for vans this year so donations is the only way we will meet this need.

Wanted Items
- Bikes (we are looking for 12 adult bikes for the children who don’t have them new or used)
- Journals (any kind for the children to write in)
- Photo albums (that hold 100 or more photos so the children can take good care and display the few pictures they have of their childhood – they usually come with 3 or 4 pictures of their family and then we strive to take as many as we can of them here so they will have memories of their childhood but we need some way for the children to protect the pictures.
- Body spray – the children usually come knowing little to no hygiene and from poverty stricken homes so we teach them how to shower, clean, and then the value to smell good. Once the children grasp ahold of these things body spray to smell good can really boost their self-esteem and help with healing.
- Art supplies – drawing, painting, coloring, etc is a huge avenue of healing for a lot of our children so construction paper, colored pencils, drawing pads, paints, paint brushes, etc are so very welcome
- Gas cards – being remotely located transportation is one of our biggest struggles. Gas cards (usually stripes) hugely boost our program so we can take the children to church, youth group, Alto Frio youth camps, Christian concerts etc.
